All, I'm in need of some suggestions. I think I'm in the market for a new hair dryer. I've had a CHI (the one above) and didn't love it. Right now, I'm just using a cheap Conair from Tar-jay. Don't love that either. Can it really be that I don't like any hair dryers? Or perhaps it's just because it takes over 30-freaking-minutes just to power dry my hair. That's without any styling. It's thick people. Thick-freaking-hair. I want something that works FAST! I don't have that kind of time in the mornings. Well, I supposed I would if I got up earlier, showered faster, didn't have to take out and feed a dog, etc, etc. But I digress...
So tell me, what's the best hair dryer that you can recommend? Do you have one you love? Ready...go!

I always thought a hair dryer was a hair dryer... Aren't they pretty much all the same or am I missing something??? ;)
Yes! Try the SEDU Revolution Pro Tourmaline Ionic 4000i (what a fancy name!). It's pricey but it works amazingly well. My hair is dry in half the time. Now when I use a normal hair dryer it feels like I'm trying to dry my hair by having someone blow on my head. I can never go back.

I use a cheap-o hair dryer, too, mostly because I haven't been able to justify spending the extra $$$. But I read a review of a blow dryer this morning on a blog, so maybe this will help you:

:) let me know what you decide on! I think it's time for an upgrade for me, as well!
I'm in the market for a new blow dryer as well. I use a cheapy from Target too and I'm hoping a nicer blow dryer will be less damaging. Did you notice any difference in that area between the Chi and the Conair?
I was thinking of getting the Rusk Speed Freak because a hairstylist blogger (All the Small Things) recommended it. Sounds like it would be fast but I have no personal experience...
So many decisions! Thanks for the input. I need to do some research.
Melissa - not sure I really noticed a difference from the damage aspect. But that might be because I feel like this stupid Conair one I use doesn't even ever get hot enough!
Hope you find what you aree looking for! Can't wait to see what you pick out.

When you find one - please share! Mine's from Tarjay, too and it's not a love fest!
For not too much money I have the Conair Infitity Pro dryer. It's about $35 and I got it at Ulta with 20% off. They have it at Target too. It comes in Pink, Orange or I guess Teal and although it's heavy, it blows hard. I have really thick hair and it only takes about 7 minutes to dry (a little longer for styling.) I got one for my mom, sister and best friend and they all love it too - and we all have super thick hair!
