American Idiot

We saw American Idiot this past weekend at the Oriental Theater. I had no idea that when Green Day wrote the album they wanted it to tell a complete story. And it does. While I enjoyed the show, I just really wish there would have been a bit more dialogue. The story was interesting, the music was loud and the cast was great. A jam-packed hour and forty minute show with no intermission. Many songs are recognizable even if you aren't the biggest Green Day fan. Has anyone else seen it or have plans to do so, wherever?

I was wondering about this...it's been getting a lot of press. Sounds kinda cool!

I'm going to see it in June in Seattle. I wasn’t really excited about because I'm not a big Green Day fan, but I have a season pass for musicals, so I’m dragging my husband. At least he’ll be familiar with the music! I'm happy to hear you liked it. A lot of people are saying it's pretty good.

I've heard it's really good, I'm just not the biggest Green Day fan. I watched Billy Joe in an interview several years back and he was such an ass that I now turn the station when they are on the radio lol.
